It is with great sadness that we learn of the passing of the talented pianist Anthony Burger, who played for the popular Gaither Homecoming shows and received Dove Award nominations for his musical albums. He collapsed and died during a performance at the age of 44. According to family friend Tom Roland, the mayor of Cleveland, Tennessee, where Burger grew up, he died on Wednesday while performing on a cruise from Miami to Miami. Roland said, “They havent performed an autopsy yet, but they suspect it was a heart attack.” Burger, who lived near Nashville in Brentwood, Tenn., released many albums and piano music videos.
