Prissy和Pop还出演了两本儿童书 – Prissy&Pop:Big Day Out和Prissy以及Pop Deck the Halls。

  1. These mini pigs are more than just their extensive wardrobe and popular Instagram account. Priscilla and Poppleton, or Prissy and Pop for short, also attend first grade at Bolles School in Jacksonville, Florida with their owner and teacher Melissa Nicholson. These pigs have been going to school with Nicholson for almost four years now. “The kids take turns feeding them treats and they really love them,” Nicholson told Todays Parents. “They like to read to them, and I really think its just their uniqueness and fun.” Nicholson has been teaching for over twenty years and says she first became a “pig person” in college when she went to a friends pig farm and raised a piglet for a day. Since then, Nicholsons love for pigs has continued until the summer of 2013 when she saw mini pigs for sale on Facebook. Half-jokingly, Nicholson texted her then-principal with a picture of Priscilla and the words “Class pet?” The principal responded with “Of course!” and Nicholson knew she had found a way to combine her calling. After bringing Prissy to her classroom that fall, she adopted Pop and brought him to class in the spring of 2014. The rest is – very cute – history. “Its hard to put into words,” Nicholson said. “But the kids really attach to them…it teaches them empathy and understanding, its a way for them to experience taking care of another living being.” Prissy and Pop have also starred in two childrens books – Prissy & Pop: Big Day Out and Prissy and Pop Deck the Halls. And, Nicholson plans to offer math and reading summer camps for kids this year. These pigs also have over 650,000 followers on Instagram where Nicholson posts pictures of their antics and fashion choices. Nicholson lives on a farm and, due to adopting Prissy and Pop, has also brought in two additional mini pigs, three rescued potbelly pigs, and three rescued farm pigs. Her school has also fallen in love with her pigs and saves unsold lunches from the cafeteria every day for her to feed her unique pets. Does Nicholson plan to bring her two additional mini pigs – Prissys niece and nephew – into the classroom? “No, theyre homeschooled,” Nicholson joked. “I think Ill stick with four pigs in the classroom.” At the end of the day, Nicholson says she is lucky to work at a school that allows her to bring
